*Due to the extension of Covid-19 Level-3 lockdown in Auckland, the Mental Health First Aid Training (originally scheduled on 11 Nov 2021) is now postponed.
We will decide on a new date according to the lockdown level and rules. Thanks for your support and sorry for any inconvenience.
Maintaining physical and mental health is vital for everyone in daily life. Being healthy should be part of our overall lifestyle. And mental health deserves more attention in the current era. It can help us cope with the stresses of life, work productively, and be physically healthy. However, in today's society, the pressure of work, the stress of life and the impact of covid-19 are unknowingly affecting people's physical and mental health.
With the vision to promote healthy practice among the Chinese community, the New Zealand Chinese Building Industry Association (NZCBIA) proposes to co-organise a series of training courses, together with St John and New Zealand Culture and Arts Foundation (NZCAF), to share expertise and offer advice on physical and mental health issues to the general public.
Mental Health First Aid Session 1
1-Day Mental Health First Aid course will teach you the skills and knowledge to recognise and respond to someone experiencing mental health concerns. This course is ideal training for anyone, including managers, responsible for their staff, those interacting with the public, or simply anyone who wants to improve their knowledge around mental health. This course will also help you build your own mental fitness as well as be able to assist others.
